Experienced Stylist — Commission
• We’re adding an established stylist who loves modern color, blended cutting, and healthy-hair education. One year behind the chair required.

Assistant Position
• One opening for a motivated new stylist to train alongside our team. This role begins January 2026 and includes hands-on education, shadowing, and client support.

Interview Process

To make sure GROW is the right fit for you (and you’re the right fit for us), our interview process includes:

Conversation & culture chat — getting to know you, your goals, and your specialties.
Portfolio review — a quick look at your work, strengths, and style.
Model test-out — for experienced stylists, we’ll schedule a model in your specialty so we can assess timing, technique, and quality.
Offer review — if it’s a match, we’ll walk through pay, expectations, and next steps.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Commission Hairstylist — for stylists with at least one year behind the chair, who love modern color + cutting and believe in healthy-hair care.

  • We will accept Assistant/Apprentice program Applications soon for a position in January 2026

🎓 Supportive onboarding — We’ll walk you through our systems, get you plugged into our tools, and make sure you have everything you need to grow your business here.

📈 Growth support — Monthly 1:1 check-ins help you track goals like rebooking, retail attach, and referrals so you always know your next step.

🌟 Marketing support — Professional team photos, branded content, and website/social exposure so you don’t have to build everything from scratch.

💄 Backbar + supplies — We provide all backbar products plus towels, capes, and aprons. Everyone helps fold and reset so the salon runs smoothly.

🛠️ Tools & systems — We run on Mangomint for seamless booking, guest communication, and checkout. You’ll also get access to our guest-flow checklists, scripts, and in-salon trackers that keep your chair organized and consistent.

What’s Expected of You

Deliver a consistent guest experience every visit — warm, professional, and aligned with GROW’s vibe.
Take and submit photos for social and your portfolio so we can help showcase your work.
Join team education + quarterly meetings — we learn together and keep our systems strong.
Maintain GROW’s cleanliness + professionalism standards — shared spaces, tools, and stations looking fresh and welcoming.

Pay Structure & Growth

We believe in clarity and transparency — no guessing about how you’re paid or how to grow here.

Commission on services
Earn a percentage of every service you provide.

Retail commission
15% on all retail sales (Amika, SkinScript, and more).

Tips
You keep 100% of your tips.
• Tips through Mangomint get added to your paycheck.
• Cash or digital tips (Venmo/CashApp) are yours to keep directly.
• GROW does not withhold taxes on tips — you’re responsible for reporting them when you file.

Bonuses & incentives
Extra earning opportunities when you hit rebooking, retail attach, and referral goals.

Paid meeting hours
Quarterly staff meetings + trainings count as paid time.

W-2 employment
We handle payroll taxes on your hourly/commission earnings. Tips remain separate.

We’ll get you plugged into Mangomint, walk you through our guest flow, and make sure you have everything you need to feel at home behind the chair.

📊 Monthly 1:1s
Every 4 weeks, you and Molly will check in on your KPIs — rebooking, retail attach, referrals — and look for easy wins, opportunities, and what you want next in your career.

🌟 60- & 90-Day Milestones
At 60 days, we’ll touch base on how you’re settling into systems, how your book is shaping up, and whether you need anything from us.
At 90 days, you’ll have a clear understanding of your growth path, earning potential, and how GROW can continue supporting your goals.

Do you hire new graduates?
Yes, through our Assistant/Apprentice program when available.

Do I get help with marketing?
Absolutely — we provide team photos, branded content, and social features.

Do I have to work nights/weekends?
Schedules balance lifestyle and client demand. Expectations are set during onboarding and monthly 1:1s.

Is there growth potential?
Yes. We track KPIs and reward growth with higher earning opportunities and advanced education.

Do I need to bring my own products?
No. We supply the back bar and color/supplies. You’ll earn 15% on retail sales.

Do I keep all of my tips?
Yes! You keep 100% of your tips.

  • Tips left through Mangomint are included in your paycheck.

  • If a guest gives you cash or uses Venmo/CashApp, you keep it directly.

    GROW does not withhold taxes on tips, so you’ll report them yourself at tax time.
