Booth Rental FAQ
Do I need to bring my own color line and products?
Yes. Booth renters are responsible for their own professional back bar (color, lightener, developer, etc.). You’ll have access to shared amenities (towels, shampoo bowls, snacks, beverages) and you’ll earn 15% retail commission on Amika + SkinScript.
Is scheduling flexible?
Yes. You choose your days when you sign your rental agreement. Part-time renters commit to a minimum of 2 set days per week. Full-time renters have open access.
What if I want to change my schedule later?
We review availability quarterly. As long as the day is open, you can adjust.
Do renters get featured in GROW’s marketing?
Yes, if you’d like. Renters can opt-in to be included in team photos, website bios, newsletters, and social promotions.
Can I sell my own retail?
We provide an established retail wall with Amika, SkinScript, and curated add-ons. Renters earn 15% commission. Outside retail sales are not permitted to keep the brand consistent.
Do I have to help with cleaning?
Yes, all renters contribute to light daily tasks (like laundry turnover, keeping shared areas tidy). We also provide professional cleaning service to keep the salon sparkling.
What if I take time off?
Rental fees are due regardless of vacations or time off. You’re welcome to adjust your schedule with advance notice to maximize your time in the salon.
Do you offer short-term or trial rentals?
We occasionally offer a 30-day trial rental period to ensure fit. After that, agreements are renewed monthly.
Do I keep all of my tips?
Yes! As a booth renter you keep 100% of your tips. You have two options:
Independent processing: Guests tip you directly in cash, Venmo, CashApp, or your preferred method. You keep it on the spot.
Through Mangomint (optional): For a small fee, you can process all service payments + tips through Mangomint. Your earnings (including tips) are deposited directly into your bank account.
Because you are self-employed, GROW does not withhold taxes on any of your income — it is your responsibility to report tips and service income when you file taxes.
