🌿 Apprenticeship Program FAQ

How long is the program
Our apprenticeship is designed as a 12 week program. We are flexible if you need more time to practice certain services or if you want to explore other areas like lashes or brows. Some people finish right at 12 weeks and others extend a bit longer. It is truly based on your skillset and goals.

Do I get hands on experience
Absolutely. You will work with real clients throughout your program and get true behind the chair experience.

Do I need to bring my own models
Yes, you are responsible for bringing in models. Friends, family, people you meet in the community. If you ever struggle to find models we can do a model call online or reach out to Molly’s guests, but part of your growth is learning how to build relationships and bring people into your chair.

Do I need my own tools
You will need your own shears, blow dryer, curling irons, and the main hard tools you will use in your career. We have plenty of tools in the salon for you to use when needed, but having your own set sets you up for long term success.

Can I take clients right away
Yes. We encourage you to take clients from day one if you feel ready. Saturdays are our busiest day and evenings and weekends are great times to start building your book. The faster you get comfortable working with clients, the faster you grow.

Can I specialize in something
One hundred percent. We will nurture and support whatever direction you want to go. Molly has 15 plus years of experience and is well rounded in color, cutting, texture work, and more. If you love clipper cutting we have a barber next door. If lashes are your thing Courtney can teach lash lifting, tinting, and extensions. If you want to explore nails and pedicures Bev has 20 plus years of experience. If there is something we do not offer in house we can find classes, shadow days, or industry friends in KC to learn from.
